My simple moon milk is:
- packed with healing herbs like ashwagandha. I am a big fan of this adaptogenic herb which has shown to lower cortisol, balance thyroid hormones, reduce stress/anxiety and balance blood-sugar levels.
What you will need:
1 cup unsweetened nut mylk (I like coconut)
½ tsp turmeric
½ tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ashwagandha
1 tsp each coconut oil & liquid sweetener (e.g date paste)
pinch each of cardamom, ginger, black pepper* and nutmeg
What to do:
Add all of the ingredients into a saucepan, whisk, and heat gently for 5 minutes.*Black pepper adds a kick in this recipe, but more importantly, it increases the bioavailability of curcumin (the chemical compound in turmeric).
