Sometimes you just need to create your own sunshine – and it doesn’t get better than this! Although turmeric has gained Western popularity of the recent years, it’s an ancient spice that has been used for its medicinal benefits throughout India. In fact, as a child my mum used to put it in to warm milk with some nutmeg to help sooth a sore throat and ward off a cold. Hmmm- sounds a lot like a turmeric-latte to me! Today it often called ‘The Golden Spice’ due to its bright yellow pigment.
