Who said that super-greens were just for drinking?! This recipe is for a detoxifying clay masks which helps to draw out impurities and refresh the skin. I do love DIY beauty as beside the cost saving benefits, you can be sure of exactly what’s gone into your product. No additives, just simple and natural ingredients. Perfect for a cosy pamper night in – or to share with friends and family.
This face mask recipe:
- can be stored in the fridge for a few days
- contains no synthetic ingredients
- is more cost effective and kinder to your skin that most similar shop bought items.
What you will need:
1 tsp spirulina or NYR Organic Greens Blend
1 tbsp. jojoba oil
2 tbsp. bentonite clay
Water (enough to form a thick paste)
Optional 3-5 drops of either lavender/rose/camomile essential oil.
What to do:
Mix all ingredients in a plastic mixing bowl. Don’t use metal here as it can interfere with the minerals in the clay. Apply immediately and leave on for 5-15 minutes. Ideally, you don’t want the mask to get too dry and crumbly. Spritz face with toner to loosen before washing the mask off.
